We would like to invite you to our five-day practical course “Transmission electron microscopy in life sciences” which will be held at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the AS CR in Prague on November 18 – 22, 2013. The course is aimed at beginners and intermediate users of transmission electron microscopes. It will devote about equal time to the theory and to practical use of three transmission electron microscopes of varying complexity. For more information and link to the registration forms please visit the course website (www.microscopytraining.eu/coursetem). We look forward to participation of students and junior researchers. The course will be taught in English.
Super-resolution microscopy is starting to push the research in biologyand medicine with an incredible speed. We would like to invite you to share with us the latest developments in this field at the symposium”Visualizing the invisible in cell biology(Super-resolution microscopy: technology, methods, and data evaluation)”which will be held at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the AS CR in Prague, Czech Republic on November 28-29, 2013. It is a unique opportunity to see world-renowned scientists delivering lectures on how super-resolution microscopy is beginning to accelerate biomedical research. The experts in the field will also discuss current possibilities and techniques of super-resolution imaging and will show examples of results obtained by this advanced microscopy approach. In addition, a limited number of participants will have an opportunity to learn how to use state-of-the-art super-resolution and macro-confocal microscopes. For more information and the link to the registration forms please visit the symposium website (www.microscopytraining.eu/srsymposium). The symposium will be held in English.
