Dear IFSHC supporters,
we are happy to inform you of some significant updates regarding the International Federation of Societies for Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (IFSHC). As part of our ongoing efforts to increase our Federation’s presence and effectiveness, we are in the process of legally registering the Federation in Italy. This important step in the Society’s history brings numerous advantages, including legal credibility, protection, and financial stability. Moreover, it may potentially open doors to access funding and eligibility for grants, for the future, which could be instrumental in our efforts to support the fields of histochemistry, cytochemistry, and imaging.
Key Changes:
- The Federation will have a registered office and establish the official seat in Italy.
- The name of the Society will be changed to the International Federation of Societies for Histochemistry and Imaging.
- A new acronym (IFSHI) will be adopted to reflect our updated identity.
With these changes, we believe it is the perfect timing to reach out to new prospective members, but also to the former members of the IFSHC who have not been active in recent years, and allow them to reconsider their membership.
The next step will be an agreement on the bylaws.
Thank you for your support and we hope we will see you all at the 17th ICHC in Rimini next year.
Best regards,
Pavel Hozák and the IFSHC Executive Committee
