We are pleased to announce the recipients of two prestigious awards in the field of histochemistry and cytochemistry: the Paul Nakane Prize and the David Glick Lecture Award.

Both awards will be presented at the upcoming International Congress of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (ICHC 2025), to be held in Rimini, Italy, from August 27–30, 2025. Both recipients will be invited to deliver a plenary lecture at the congress.

Professor Pavel Hozák (Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic) has been selected as the recipient of the Paul Nakane Prize in Histochemistry and Cytochemistry. This prize serves as a lifetime achievement award, honoring an individual who has demonstrated outstanding international leadership in advancing the fields of histochemistry and cytochemistry. The award includes a plaque and a $1,500 honorarium.

Professor Christoph Cremer (University of Mainz and University of Heidelberg, Germany) will receive the David Glick Lecture Award. Established in 1982 by an anonymous donation, this award honors the memory and contributions of David Glick, particularly his pioneering work in quantitative histochemical methods. It is presented at each International Congress of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (ICHC) to a distinguished histochemist or cytochemist. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium, up to $2,000 in travel support, and a commemorative scroll or certificate.

Please join us in congratulating Professors Hozák and Cremer for their outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to the field.
