The International Federation of Societies for Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (IFSHC) is pleased to announce the results of the election for the Executive Committee for the 2025–2029 term. The vote took place during the Second Delegates Meeting held in Rimini, Italy, within the framework of the 17th International Congress of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (ICHC 2025).
The election was conducted by the voting delegates and members of the IFSHC Board. An amendment to the Federation Statutes was approved to include the Past-President as a member of the Executive Committee.
The new Executive Committee will take office upon completion of the Federation’s legalization process in the following organization:
- President – Prof. Roberta Di Pietro, Italian Society for Histochemistry
- Past-president – Prof. Pavel Hozák, Society for Histochemistry
- Secretary-General – Prof. Steven West, Royal Microscopical Society
- Treasurer – Prof. Melek Ozturk, Turkish Society for Electron Microscopy
- Councilor – Prof. He Li, Chinese Society for Histochemistry and Cytochemistry
- Councilor – Prof. Liliana Schaefer, The Histochemical Society
The current Executive Committee will continue to serve until the completion of the transition process:
- President: Prof. Pavel Hozák, Society for Histochemistry
- Secretary-General: Prof. Toyoshi Fujimoto, Japan Society for Histochemistry and Cytochemistry
- Treasurer: Prof. Roberta Di Pietro, Italian Society for Histochemistry
- Councilor: Prof. Liliana Schaefer, The Histochemical Society
- Councilor: Prof. Margarida Barroso, The Histochemical Society
